Sustainability
At CDON Group, we believe that both individuals and companies have a responsibility to contribute to a more sustainable world. As the leading operator of online marketplaces in the Nordics, we take this role very seriously.
Climate Compensation
CDON Group as a whole is committed to reducing its climate impact. An important part of this work, and a prominent example within the group, are the climate compensation measures taken within our Fyndiq segment. At Fyndiq, this commitment is reflected through climate compensation efforts that go beyond neutrality – we compensate for 110% of the carbon dioxide emissions generated by its operations and actively contribute to a reduced global climate footprint.
In 2024, the Fyndiq segment generated 3,170,145 kg of CO₂ and invested SEK 1,765,112 in climate compensation. To ensure real and measurable impact, we partner with GoClimate, a trusted organization whose projects are certified according to the Gold Standard – which guarantees effective emission reductions along with positive social and environmental benefits.
Sustainable Products
We actively work with our partners to reduce our climate impact, especially regarding the handling of returns and packaging. By adapting the outer packaging to each product, we minimize the use of additional materials and reduce the space required for transport.
Additionally, we take measures to reduce electronic waste by focusing on the reuse, repair, and recycling of products. These efforts reflect our ambition to promote extended product lifecycles and minimize waste, while offering our customers more sustainable choices. In close collaboration with our partner Renow, we also offer these services to merchants on our platform.
Over the years, we have experienced a growing interest in sustainable alternatives and strive to expand our range of environmentally conscious initiatives. One of the contributors is our Pre-Owned segment, which continues to grow. In 2024, Pre-Owned generated nearly SEK 50 million in sales – an increase from just under SEK 40 million in 2023. Although this segment still constitutes a small part of our business, we believe that pre-owned products will remain important to consumers and a central part of our sustainability journey.
Sustainable Logistics
CDON Group is committed to sustainable logistics by integrating innovative technologies with low environmental impact and collaborating with partners who share our commitment to environmentally responsible practices throughout the supply chain.
At CDON Group, sustainable logistics is a central part of our commitment to reducing our environmental impact. In collaboration with Bring, we are making progress – 39% of our deliveries in 2024 were carried out using fossil-free vehicles (CDON 1P deliveries). This collaboration also allows us to use Bring's automated warehouse in Arlandastad, where energy-efficient robots help optimize packaging, minimize waste, and reduce emissions. Bring has also invested in solar panels, where the collected energy directly powers warehouse operations.
All Bring-operated facilities in the Nordics are BREEAM certified and meet high standards for environmental performance. Together, we are building a more efficient and climate-conscious logistics chain – one delivery at a time.
